In 2004, I was commissioned to generate an interpretative plan for a new museum of the Highlands in collaboration with the Highland Council. The study included identifying the market/ audience, creating both an exhibition and education programme with emphasis on the repeat visitor market, identifying technologies suitable for the presentation of the collections including on-line access to information.
In 2009 I was commissioned to create a 20 year business plan for the Museum identifying phased capital investment, expenditure and target revenue.
The scope of work addressed target audience and envisaged demographic and profile changes, developing relationships with other sites in Scotland, educational services and articulating a full programme of annual events and activities for the site over 20 years.
The business planning elements were robust and shrewdly tested. In addition to that thoroughness, Scroope Design brought creativity and ‘extra mile’ enthusiasm to the plan, contributing to the fleshing out of the overall vision
