This study investigated the feasibility of the ship being retained as a STV or converted to a museum.
Visitor experience, ,services, market served, operational structure, finances and revenue streams were analysed. Perceptions of the Jeanie Johnston, relationships with the Dublin and other international ports were also considered.The study offered short and long term recommendations with costs, timeframe and tasks for implementation.
Scroope Design completed a number of projects for the Docklands Authority aimed at creating a tourism/leisure experiences for the newly launched Liffey Voyage tour service and reviewing the visitor experience provided on board the Jeanie Johnston. Scroope Design brought together a highly creative team with an in-depth understanding of the tourist experience in Ireland. For both products, their unique insights in to what makes a visitor attraction work provided us with a new way of looking at tourism products in the Docklands.
